Coming
to the Guitar ELEMENTARY Level 2 the guitar player will find a
first selection of popular and traditional melodies, which are
made easier with the purpose of helping the player coping first
with the many note positions that are now to be learnt and practiced
on the instrument board.
All pieces are still monophonic and are also meant to be played
in the 1st position as well, including the recurrent use of open
strings.
The involved key signatures reach a maximal number of two accidents
(with the exception of the last four E-major pieces).
The bar times setting makes use of 2/4, 3/4 and 4/4 values: in few
cases a 6/8 composed time signature has been introduced.
The maximal note duration has a value that does not not exceed the
1/16; there are no irregular tuplets displayed in the scores, at
this learning level.
